Thinking about a sweet and brave family today as they mourn the loss of their son. No parent should ever have to bury their child. With a heavy heart, I rely on the words that brought me strength to find peace with tragedy and my grief in the losses that I’ve endured. these words resonated with me, gave me strength to walk with my grief. To sit in it. To remember. To come to peace and to find the courage to move forward.
“He said that life was like a day in the park. Some kids get to stay all day, some until mid- day, and some just get to play for the morning. Then their Father comes to call them home. It is we who are left who must remember that home is not a bad place to be”(There is no place like Hope, p.113).
My prayers and thoughts are with you today, Holly and Tony. May you find yourselves wrapped in love and peace as you carry Alex’s legacy on in your hearts and lives. #rememberingAlex @tony_hollyfisher
